A New Approach For Your Holiday
Rudolph, Frosty, Christmas trees... This is almost everyone’s Christmas experience, sometimes filled with childhood memories and images. How about doing something outside of the box in 2024, something more personal, emotional, and meaningful? Celebrate joy and gratitude outside the common Christmas symbols. Are you ready to do something different?
Here are four genius tips:
- For every gift, include a personal appreciation to that person with your real feelings. Share why you selected this gift, especially for them. This way, you express deep respect and appreciation as you connect more personally. Celebrate the people close to you- family, friends, and those you care about. As an outlier, you are fully aware of what you’re doing. You don’t follow the routine. You follow your heart. Your friends and family members will notice that.
- Here's a fun idea to consider for your own children: four gifts- Something they want, something they need, something to wear, something to read. These gifts are meaningful and personal to them and to you as a parent.
- Smile with intention and make your own joy contagious: Make others smile with a compliment, an encouraging comment, a funny picture, or a spontaneous phone call.
- Practice PHYSICAL gratitude:
- "Thank you, eyes, for reading this genius news."
- "Thank you, brain, for making sense of these sentences and responding with own ideas and feelings."
- "Thank you, heart, for beating 80,000 times daily." (60 x 60 x 24 = ?!)
- "Thank you, nervous system, for being focused, tense, and relaxed during these days before the Holidays."
